Konstruksi Identitas Amerika Serikat Dalam Domain Luar Angkasa Dengan Membentuk U.S. Space Force

Abstrak

This research aims to look at United States’ efforts to maintain its national security and interests in the space domain. United States sees increasing power in the space domain by other countries, notably Russia and China, as a threat to its national security and interests. In order to face this threat, United States through the establishment of the U.S. Space Force carries out its military expansion into the outer space domain. Researcher examines the efforts of the United States from the perspective of constructivism theory and written using qualitative-descriptive research methods. Within the constructivism theory perspective, this research finds the purpose of the United States in military expansion into the outer space domain by forming the U.S. Space Force is to construct identity in the domain. The identity formed will make the United States have a strong position in the outer space domain, thereby reducing threats that come from other countries.
