KECERNAAN IN-VITRO, VOLLATYLE FATTY ACID, DAN AMONIA SILASE JERAMI JAGUNG DENGAN LAMA WAKTU PENYIMPANAN BERBEDA
Abstrak
Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui kecernaan invitro silase jerami jagung dengan lama waktu penyimpanan yang berbeda. Percobaan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan dan masing-masing perlakuan diulang lima kali, sehingga terdapat 20 unit percobaan. Keempat perlakuan tersebut adalah W1 = lama penyimpanan 14 hari, W2 = lama penyimpanan 21 hari, W3 = lama penyimpanan 28 hari, dan W4 = lama penyimpanan 35 hari. Peubah yang diamati dalam penelitian adalah kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik, Vollatile Fatty Acid (VFA) dan amonia (NH3). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecernaan bahan kering (KCBK) menunjukkan perbedaan yang nyata, sebaliknya kecernaan bahan organik (KCBO), VFA, dan NH3 berbeda tidak nyata, dan terdapat kecenderungan menurunnya nilai KCBK, KCBO, VFA, dan NH3 dengan semakin lama waktu penyimpanan silase jerami jagung. Dapat disimpulkan KCBK, KCBO VFA, dan NH3.silase jerami jagung tidak berbeda nyata dengan lama penyimpanan berbeda.
