Abstrak

Indigofera merupakan leguminosa dengan spesies dan kegunaan sangat beragam. Masyarakat industri pakaian mengenal Indigofera sebagai tanaman sumber pewarna alami yang sudah digunakan turun temurun.
Spesies Indigofera zollingeriana telah banyak digunakan karena kelebihannya secara agronomis maupun nutrisi menjadikannya salah satu pilihan sumber pakan berkualitas. Pengetahuan agronomi tanaman Indigofera
masih perlu disosialisaikan kepada masyarakat agar penggunaan hijauannya lebih luas. Beberapa informasi yang berhasil diperoleh dari penelitian selama ini menunjukan bahwa Indigofera secara agronomis mudah
untuk dikembangkan secara generatif dan memiliki kemampuan produksi hijauan yang tinggi serta regrowing yang cepat. Selain itu memiliki kemampuan adaptasi kekeringan.
