Abstrak




Nematoda gastrointestinal adalah satu di antara penyebab berkurangnya efisiensi produksi pada domba dan kambing di Indonesia, terutama parasit abomasum Haemonchus contortus. Parasit ini menyebabkan penyakit Haemonchosis yang menyebabkan anemia dan berakibat fatal bagi domba dan kambing produktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi daya hambat tetas telur dan mortalitas cacing H. contortus dewasa dari infusa daun Indigofera tintoria L secara in vitro. Pengujian infusa daun Indigofera pada lima konsentrasi yaitu 0% sebagai kontrol negatif, 20%, 40%, 60% dan 80%. Kontrol positif menggunakan Albendazole dengan konsentrasi 2 mg/ ml. Pada konsentrasi tertinggi 80% infusa daun Indigofera mampu menghambat penetasan telur sebesar 95.60% dan memiliki daya mortalitas terhadap cacing H. contortus dewasa sebesar 89.67%. Konsentrasi 80% mempunyai efek yang sama jika dibandingkan dengan kontrol positif yang menggunakan Albendazole. Analisis fitokimia daun Indigofera tintoria L mengandung tanin terkondensasi dan berdaya guna sebagai bioanthelmintika.
