Kerjasama Ekonomi Indonesia dan Jepang dalam “Indonesia-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement” (IJEPA) Tahun 2008
Abstrak
Current study proposed to identify and describe the mechanism of cooperation between Indonesia and Japan in the Indonesia-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (IJEPA). This study uses the concept of International Cooperation in describing the mechanism of economic cooperation between Indonesia and Japan through the IJEPA agreement and is carried out through a descriptive qualitative approach with secondary data sourced from documentation and journals. The data was collected through the literature study method which was then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman approach. The findings show that the IJEPA cooperation mechanism between the governments of Indonesia and Japan is carried out by agreeing on a tariff preference scheme which includes a general tariff reduction scheme and granting import duty exemption facilities, as well as carrying out capacity building cooperation through the manufacturing industry development center (MIDEC) program. but as long as it has been implemented since 2008, IJEPA has not provided maximum and profitable results, so that through a bilateral meeting between Indonesia and Japan on the agenda for completing the IJEPA general review, the two countries agreed to increase cooperation by signing the Framework Document New Manufacturing Industry Development Center ( MIDEC)
