Abstrak

This study aims to describe the Indonesian government's efforts to brand the Islamic economic system at the 2018 International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group annual meetings. Indonesia's selection as the host country provided an opportunity to introduce four important issues into the forum. One of the crucial issues brought by Indonesia to the forum was the strengthening and development of the Islamic economic system. Islamic Economy is one of the systems implemented by the Indonesian government.  As the largest Muslim population in the world, Indonesia has the potential to develop Islamic finance and economics. Researcher examines Indonesia's efforts to brand the Islamic economic system through the concept of nation branding and economic diplomacy and written using qualitative-descriptive research methods. The research then perceives the answer that the Indonesian government's efforts to brand the Islamic economic system are by launching the Waqf Core Principles, the introduction of Green Waqf Linked Sukuk, and Indonesia's cooperation with countries at the 2018 International Monetary Fund and World Bank annual meetings.
